This morning before school, we took a short walk on Oar Beach in Lantzville. The beach sits right on the edge of Nanaimo where the city meets Lantzville, making it an easy spot to reach for a quick visit before the day starts.

You can park right beside the beach, and within a few steps, you’re on the shoreline. It’s ideal when you want to be outside without taking on a long hike.

If you just want to sit and relax, there are two benches right at the entrance with a clear view of the water. For a short stroll, the rocky shoreline offers a calm space to explore. On our walk, we spotted a few jellyfish washed up in the shallows and admired the beautiful homes that line the coast.
