Oar Beach Lantzville: A Peaceful Morning Walk

This morning before school, we took a short walk on Oar Beach in Lantzville. The beach sits right on the edge of Nanaimo where the city meets Lantzville, making it an easy spot to reach for a quick visit before the day starts.

A Relaxed Start to the Day

My daughter is recovering from strep throat, so we wanted to get her some fresh ocean air. Oar Beach is perfect for that kind of slow, low-impact walk. You can park right beside the beach, and within a few steps, you’re on the shoreline. It’s ideal when you want to be outside without taking on a long hike.

Easy Access and Beautiful Views

If you just want to sit and relax, there are two benches right at the entrance with a clear view of the water. For a short stroll, the rocky shoreline offers a calm space to explore. On our walk, we spotted a few jellyfish washed up in the shallows and admired the beautiful homes that line the coast.

Why Oar Beach Lantzville Is Worth Visiting

Oar Beach in Lantzville is a quiet, easily accessible spot that’s perfect for a quick ocean break. Whether you’re looking for fresh air, an easy walk, or just a peaceful place to sit by the water, this small beach is a reminder that you don’t always have to go far to enjoy Vancouver Island’s coastline.
