Today my family took a short drive from Nanaimo to Silver Meadows Farm Market in Errington, BC. It’s just a few minutes past Parksville and makes for an easy fall day trip with the kids.

Entry to the pumpkin patch was free, and all the attractions were reasonably priced. It’s nice to find a place that keeps fall traditions affordable for families. We picked out five small, unique pumpkins for $12, which felt like a great deal considering the quality and variety.
